Court Reservation Rules

These rules have been adapted from the paper system used at MCAC for the last several years. The spirit of those rules is attempted here, but this is a work in progress. If there are any problems or issues, please bring them to Bob Good's attention, and we'll work to resolve them.

Reserving times in advance

Courts may be reserved up to 14 days in advance, in time slots of 50 minutes, starting at 5:50AM until 10:30PM. You can use the courts in the middle of the night as well, but probably there won't be many conflicts and scheduling times is not necessary. In general, courts may be booked in advance up to a maximum of three per week, except for Preferred-hour courts (reservations starting at 10:50 - 1:30, or 4:40 - 5:30) which may be booked only two times per week. (This means it would be possible to make advance reservations for both two Prefered-hour times and one non Preferred-hour time in the same week.) You cannot book two courts for the same time slot on the same day.

Same day and next day booking

On the day before or the same day, you may reserve any open court up to a maximum of one court per day.

General

Be considerate. Try to use different days and times to allow others a chance at some of the most popular time slots. Please delete your reservation as soon as you learn that you will be unable to use your reserved court time. Reserving prime time slots and not showing up is something that should never happen. There really are no "squash court police". If you see that someone is abusing the court reservation system, call that person and urge him or her to follow the rules.
